The Deprotection Chuck is used as part of the post-synthesis process to allow the user to heat the oligos to high temperatures without the risk of cross-contamination from adjacent wells.

Although these items were originally designed as an integrated part of the MerMade post synthesis process these chucks can be used with any synthesizer as part of the deprotection process. In fact, their robustness and flexibility have proved sufficiently popular that they are now available as a separate option.

This simple and effective solution will accommodate almost all 96 deep well plates. First, use our Cleavage Apparatus to cleave the oligos into a 96 well plate, clamp it into the deprotection chuck, and place in the oven (or leave it to sit it on the bench at room temperature).
