This Cleaving Block is used as part of the post-synthesis process. It allows the operator to cleave 12 oligos from the synthesis support and collect them in standard 1.5ml or 2ml screw cap tubes.

Although these items were originally designed as an integrated part of the MerMade post synthesis process these Blocks can be used with any synthesizer which utilizes similar synthesis columns as part of the deprotection process. In fact, their robustness and flexibility have proved sufficiently popular that they are now available as a separate option.

Once the oligos have been cleaved and collected in the tubes, they are capped and put through the deprotection process.
