15, 50, and 200umole Synthesis on the MM12/6
In an attempt to prove the flexibility of the MerMade 12/6 we have been developing protocols to push the limits of the scale range for the MM12/6. We have experienced a great deal of success, and achieved high quality product at low amidite equivalents. With 6 columns at 200umole each the MerMade is capable of synthesizing 1.2 millimoles of product. This is using a support loading of ~90 umole/gram. If you used 200umole per gram support the limit goes to a 2.4 millimoles synthesis scale! If you need more than that look out for the MerMade LS-1 which is due out in March of '08 that will go to a 10 millimoles synthesis scale. BioAutomation wants to provide our customers with a synthesis solution at all scales using a consistent synthesis approach thus giving our customers the ability to scale up from high through-put screening to clinical trials using common synthesis parameters. Our approach has many advantages that include flexibility, ease of use, and mechanical simplicity which equates to less down time and fewer lost runs.
